According to Stell\u2019s CEO Mikk Sillamaa, the facility services sector is directly influenced by Estonia\u2019s overall economic situation: \u201cThe economic forecast of the Bank of Estonia, according to which the economy will return to growth, is optimistic.\u201d At the same time, Sillamaa noted that planned tax increases will impact service costs, which, in turn, will necessitate price adjustments: \u201cTogether with our clients, we must find solutions that satisfy both parties.\u201d<\/p>\n

The most pressing challenge for the industry remains the chronic labour shortage. As emphasized by Sillamaa and Mergit Inno, the Sales and Marketing Director for the Baltic Countries at SOL Baltics O\u00dc, employee training and continuous professional development are becoming increasingly important. To address this, Stell has established a training and competence centre to enhance the skills of its own employees and other industry professionals. To ensure high-quality services, Stell trains both cleaning staff and property managers.<\/p>\n

For Stell, innovation is vital in addressing labour shortages and improving the quality of services. The company has launched collaborative projects to test the use of robots in property maintenance processes. While this technology still requires further development, it is seen as an important future solution that can improve the overall efficiency of the sector.<\/p>\n

In 2025, energy efficiency and sustainable building management will become even more significant. The European Union\u2019s ambitious goals for reducing energy consumption and minimizing waste also shape the activities of the facility services sector.<\/p>\n
